We were the advisors for the The Dave and Vicki Stollmeyer Family Fund of the Marin Community Foundation. From 2020 - 2024, through this generous fund, we have been able to award grants in Sonoma Valley in the areas of affordable housing, Preserving the history and rural character of the valley, early childhood education and immigrant support. The following grants have been made through this partnership:
Sonoma Valley Collaborative ($60,605) To advocate for affordable housing. Date: August, 3 2022
Sonoma Immigrant Services ($26,300) Citizenship preparation program. November 30, 2022
Update: 7/12/2023: SIS held a Citizenship Celebration this weekend! They celebrated 12 new citizens and their families attend along with their Citizenship Education Program volunteers and other community members. From 2022-2023 SIS has helped at least 57 community members become naturalized U.S. citizens and many others are waiting to be scheduled for their naturalization interview!
Sonoma Ecology Center ($40,000) Advocacy for Sonoma Developmental Center. Date: November 30, 2022
Sonoma Community Center ($25,282) Focus area: Immigrant support and Education. Date: November 30, 2022
Village Sonoma Valley ($45,000) Bilingual Medicare educational forums for seniors. Date: August 3rd, 2023
Sonoma Immigrant Services ($50,000) Focus Area: Immigrant Support. To fund legal services to process applications for 'Special Immigrant Juvenile Status' which expedites work authorizations and related documentation for unaccompanied, abused or neglected immigrant youth. Date: November 1, 2023
Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation ($50,000) Preserving the history and rural character of the valley. To purchase the piece of land called '100 Acre Ranch' to connect Hood Regional Park to several other open spaces. Date: December 14, 2023
La Luz-AVANCE ($25,000) Focus Area: Immigrant Support: To support Estrellitas-Avance program expansion, increasing the number of toddlers in the program. Date: December 14, 2023
Sonoma Land Trust ($25,000) Focus Area: Preserving the history and rural character of the valley. To launch a historic renovation project of the Foreman's Cottage at Glen Oaks Ranch. Date: December 14, 2023
