Diana Sanson

Diana’s career as a successful change agent spans both the technology and nonprofit sectors. After retiring from technology, she applied her marketing and project management skills towards a career in nonprofit fundraising and management, including co-founding and leading an environmental education nonprofit focused on connecting students from the most disadvantaged communities with nature. She has worked in leadership roles in other nonprofit areas including environmental  conservation, social/environmental justice and animal welfare.

Originally from Virginia, Diana moved to San Francisco in 1991 and became a resident of Sonoma Valley in 2006, moving to Glen Ellen where she helped design and build a rammed-earth house.  She has served as a founding member, former Grants Chair and board member of Impact100 Sonoma and a former Vice Chair at Audubon Canyon Ranch  (now All Hands Ecology). She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, Her community service also includes having volunteered with Sonoma Shambala Meditation Center and as a National Ski Patroller in Tahoe for over ten years. Diana and her husband Ben are avid travelers, cross country skiers and hikers.  Diana received her BA in Economics and International Relations from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Duke University.
