Alondra Marroquín was born and raised in Sonoma Valley. What she loves about the Valley is our close-knit community. As a daughter of Mexican immigrants and someone who has experienced parental deportation, her lived experiences have sparked her desire to pursue a career in migration. After transferring from Santa Rosa Junior College, she attended Sonoma State University where she researched the Effects of ICE Detention and Deportation on Latinx Families and graduated with a degree in Sociology in 2020. Alondra has been working with Sonoma Immigrant Services since late 2019 and is a board member of Art Escape. She loves serving the community she grew up in!
